A Great read on how small town stigma is being challenged by many rural kids!

Like so many kids growing up in rural Australia, Phoebe Nagorcka-Smith knew she would have to leave one day. The message at school was: “If I wanted to have an interesting life or be successful, I needed to move away and go to the city.” So that’s what she did. She moved from Portland, a coastal town about five hours drive west of Melbourne, to the city for a health science degree.
