Apprentice wages and conditions
Apprentice wages and conditions are derived from the relevant Modern Award.
The rate of an apprentice wage, from first-year through to 4th-year apprentice wages, depends on a number of factors.
An apprentice usually receives a percentage of the qualified tradesperson’s rate. This percentage increases as the apprentice progresses through the apprenticeship.
Trainee wages and conditions
Trainee wages and conditions come from the National Training Wage Schedule and the relevant Modern Award.
For further information on Apprenticeship or Traineeship wages see the Australian Government’s Fair Work Ombudsman website for a list of awards.
